family vacation

this past weekend, champ and mimi treated us to a fabulous long weekend getaway at the Westin La Cantera!

we lounged by the pool, ate fabulous meals, and shopped 'til we dropped!

thank you, mom and dad, for such a great family vacation!

we treasure the time we spend together.

so long june, hello july

I don't know where last month went!

Maybe it went by so fast because I was chasing Cade around the house...

and he wasn't crawling.

Cade started walking!!!!!!!

Yes, walking.

He took his first steps a few days before he turned 10 months old.

We've had the most fun watching him waddle around.

He is so proud of himself!

i've been teaching him sign language, and this is the sign for "all done"

well, it's close. but he knows that it means he's finished and is ready to get down.

i love being able to communicate with him that way.

we played in the pool a lot over july 4th

it's crazy. he used to love sleep.

he got away with it once because dada was gone and i wanted a buddy for the night,

but not again!

memorial day weekend

We are so blessed to live in a free country & 

are incredibly thankful to those who sacrificed for those freedoms.

Memorial Day weekend was a great start to summer!

we had lots of fun cookin' it up in mom's newly updated kitchen!

He is absolutely adorable as he crawls around

and explores all of the toys in his playroom.

On May 14th Champ celebrated his 21st birthday

...or something close to that number!

Champ and Mimi treated the fam to an absolutely delicious meal

at the only 5 star restaurant in Texas! 

Dos Brisas.  

It was a true experience.

We loved spending the evening together,

only the "grown ups."

Cade was well taken care of by some of our closest friends.

We made such great memories that night.

We love you, Dad!
